Here is the astonishingly beautiful Contralto voice of the Italian singer Sara Mingardo. She is singing Vivialdi's Nisi Dominus Cum Dederit, also known as Psalm 126, "When he shall give sleep"  It is mostly heard now sung by a Countertenor but the richer less forced lower register of an Alto shows it at its best and she gives a fabulous rendition. Enjoy!

saltire

... The auld volcanoes rummle ’neath their feet,
And a’ their shoddy lives ‘ll soon be drush,
Danders o’ Hell! They feel th’ unwelcome heat,
The deltit craturs, and their sauls are slush,
For we ha’e faith in Scotland’s hidden poo’ers,
The present’s theirs, but a’ the past and future’s oors.
