Re:Abernyte Glebe sightings 6 Months ago
On the Glebe on Sunday 7th March:

Female Sparrowhawk loitering from tree to tree. Didn't seem too interested in feeding.

Pair of healthy look Buzzards throwing sticks into the top of either a Scots Pine or Douglas Fir just to the West along the top line of the upper Glebe.

On my round of the Glebe nest boxes yesterday (May 31st) I was please to find a spotted flycatcher nest. So far the nest is finished, but has no eggs. I will be keeping an eye on it and will post updates here.

It looks as if the flycatcher has changed its mind. The nest lining has been carefully removed, leaving the moss base is in perfect shape, so it is unlikely that the nest was raided. If I find where they have moved to, I will post the news.

Malcolm has reported a large group of long tailed tits from the Glebe. Has anyone else seen them about?
