Details of the new application to demolish the steading at Abernyte Farm and replace it with 4 houses are starting to appear on the Perth and Kinross Planning website.
The applicant is listed as Northbank Services.

Unfortunately the elevation and floor plan drawings only consist of the garages!

At first glance they seem to make for a well thought out development. Views from Abernyte residents on this application are welcomed. It affects us all.

The Developer, Northbank Services, has submitted an amended plan for this development, to Perth and Kinross Council. While the new plans do not seem to be available on the Planning website as yet, I believe the major change is for the vehicle access into the development is now from the roadway to wards the village and not via the farm road at the rear of the current steading. Other changes involve the shared drainage system for the houses.
If the plans are made available on-line I will post a link for all to view and comment.

The application for this develoment is to go before the Development Committee on 30th July 2008. The recommendation from the planners is that it be approved.

As anticipated, this development was approved. It is not believed that there will be any immendiate building taking place, as the steading was recently offered for let as storage or for wintering animals in. Perhaps in the spring.
