The Draft Plan for future development in this area is being compiled prior to submission to the Scottish Government.

The proposals to extend the area for development of housing in Abernyte and Ballindean which have been made to Perth and Kinross Council are available to view on the Perth and Kinross Planning website. The specific request for change in Abernyte can be viewed by clicking here.

A poll on the issues around the proposed development is available on the front page of the site. Unfortunately it is now restricted to registered users of the site only after some "voting irregularities" on Wednesday 14th October.

To prevent a recurrence of the "irregular voting pattern" seen recently, new Poll software will be installed in the next few days.

The poll is open to all registered users of the site and only one vote is available to each user. Any number of users, are free to use the same computer to vote.

The current votes shown on the poll have been adjusted to remove a large number of votes which were made in a short space of time, all from the same computer. The votes showing now are an accurate reflection of the poll prior to that abuse.

The polling feature is provided to allow residents quickly and easily to express a view on a topic. It is only intended to be an indication of the communities opinion on any subject and should not be viewed as the communities settled will.
