Walking Group Programme 2010
We are a friendly group and always welcome new members from around our parishes, whether church members or not. Families are encouraged and the age range during our 2009 programme was 6 years to 70+ . We also have several dogs who regularly bring their owners. (The detailed programme indicates if for any reason it is not appropriate to bring dogs or if they require to be kept under control in certain areas.)
All walks are on Tuesday evenings and start at the car park at Inchture Church at 6.15pm, returning around 8.15pm.
20 April Invergowrie - we will walk around the path network at SCRI. This is pretty much on the flat with some lovely views across the river and across Dundee.
25 May Visit to Scotstoun Farm at Auchterhouse where we will have a guided walk round an organic farm. No dogs on this walk.
15 June BBQ to be held behind Inchture Village Hall. We will walk across the flyover and up to Teen Ranch returning with a hearty appetite to enjoy the BBQ. This walk is flat.
20 July Backmuir Woods near Muirhead. This walk skirts the wood initially to reach the old drovers’ road which we follow to Fowlis for about a mile, returning back the same way to the woods. This is a fairly flat walk with a couple of short, gentle inclines.
17 August Kinnaird - A circuit of the hills around Kinnaird. This walk will be fairly moderate, i.e. some steep bits but within the capabilities of most reasonably fit people. No dogs on this walk.
