The Draft Plan for future development in this area is to be considered at some future time by Perth and Kinross Council before it's eventual submission to the Scottish Government.
The proposals to register an interest in extending the area for development of housing in Abernyte and Ballindean which have been made to Perth and Kinross Council are available to view on the Perth and Kinross Planning website. The specific request for change in Abernyte can be viewed by clicking here.

Saturday 17th October 2 - 4pm
As you may be aware we have an apple crusher and press to make apple juice and cider.
If you have some apples or are interested in collecting apples for a pressing, come along. Any apples will do. A blend of cookers and eaters make great cider. 20lbs of apples will yield about one gallon of juice, so let’s do something useful with those surplus apples. The apple juice has proved to be fantastic and freezes well.
We need lots of plastic bottles (not ex Milk) for freezing the apple juice so you can take home as much as possible on the day.
This event has proved to be a great success in years gone by and fun for all ages especially Suki's apple cake. This year I might even have some drinkable cider from some sweet Craigdallie apples.
If anybody can't make it on the day but has loads of apples they can drop them off in advance plus bottles (in the big tin shed round the back) and we will do the job for them, or bag them up and I will collect the bags.

South Perth Youth Services and Click Arts have organised a 'Photography and Digital Arts Project' for young people to be held in Errol Community Centre during the October holidays.
There will be workshops on Thursday 15 and Friday 16 October from 2-4pm on both days. Young people will get the opportunity to learn some basic photography skills with local photographer Claire Fraser and also have the chance to use Photoshop. Young people can bring in 'things' that are important to them to photograph.
Young people can also bring in objects that have personal significance to them and write about them. This event is free and is open to people aged between 12 and 25. There is no need to book a place; the event will run on a first come first served basis.
All equipment will be provided but young people can bring in their own cameras. No experience is necessary; the workshops will be suitable for people with all levels of experience in photography.

ROAD SAFETY ISSUES
We are the new, recently trained Junior Road Safety Officers at Abernyte Primary School. Our job is to help make all the pupils and the adults more aware of how important Road Safety is and how to keep themselves safe on the roads.
Today we carried out one of our first very important jobs. With the help of Mrs Legge we have put up a new Road Safety sign which we got from our Road Safety Co-ordinator. The new sign has been tied to our school fence and it shows the message '20 mph FOR A REASON'. We hope that this will encourage drivers to remember that they need to slow down and drive very carefully past our school.
CYCLE TRAINING
Over the next 2 weeks (21st Sept to 2nd October) the P 6 & 7 classes will be doing cycle training around the roads beside the school. We would like to ask drivers to pay extra attention during this time.
Thanks you.
