5th , 6th and 7th September
We are all invited to attend the NLS Roadshow at the AK Bell on the above dates.
The Roadshow includes much of interest to local and family historians. There will be an exhibition on Pont's maps and some local treasures on display in Local Studies and Archives. Specialist librarians from the National Library will be on hand to answer questions about their collections or any specific queries you might have.
On Thursday you can attend talks for beginners and experts on family history. Chris Fleet is giving a talk on military mapping with particular focus on Perthshire and Kinross-shire.
Friday night is film night with archive footage from the National Film Archive, previously known as Scottish Screen.
Sara Anne Kelly, the Local Studies Librarian , has sent this invitation and hopes we will be able to attend this exciting and unusual event.
If you do go, please mention your interest in the Abernyte Heritage Group, the more we raise our profile at events like this , the more invitations we will get and the more assistance we will get with current and future projects.
