2008 for young people

BEAUTIFUL BIRDS AND BEASTS

Monday 11th August – Friday 15th August 2008 - 10.30-1.0 pm daily

This summer we shall look closely at the amazing colours, curves, stripes and patterns on the beaks, feet and plumage of birds. Collect any feathers you see when out for a walk.

Bring in colour photocopies, postcards or pics of  bird beaks/ feathers etc

We will also look at the markings on butterflies and moth wings …so any good pictures you can find would be worth bringing in to show us.

Each day there will be drawing or painting, as well as lots of claywork- coiling and modelling the clay to make birdforms.
